 Founded by sixth generation local, Deve Wolfe, Tempting Teal Boutique was originally called Wolfe Fleece & Clothing Company in 1998. Before starting her business, Deve, short on cash, was inspired to make her Christmas gifts that year by sewing fleece. This led to her selling her items on consignment and by popular demand, her business grew from there. Until 2007, Wolfe Fleece & Clothing Co. sold only polar fleece clothing and accessories that were designed and produced by a team of local stay at home moms. Deve soon added women's clothing and accessories to the store. The baby fleece items and the fleece socks are still available. The rebranding was complete in 2013 with the new store name -"Tempting Teal Boutique". Growing up on a farm, Deve is no stranger to hard work, something she credits to her current success as a business owner. In fact, the thing that's stayed true the whole time she's been in business is staying open every day! That's right, for 21 years in business, Deve only closes the store four days out of the year!
